NASA wants to catch an Asteroid / Washington wants to spend another $2.6 Billion

Here we are in the middle of an $81 Billion Sequester and Pres Obama wants to add another $2.6 Billion to the NASA Budget so it can catch an Asteroid that has a diameter of 20 to 30 feet and drag it into a Stationary Orbit with the Moon. This mission would give a purpose (mission) for the SLS Rocket that they are building now at a cost of $3 Billion per year. Also they haven't even released how much it would cost to build and place a Space Station close enough to it so it can be studied. Part of the explanation as to why we need to do this is that the 55 foot Asteroid ( We did not even know it was coming ) that exploded over Russia in Feb. It injured over 1000 People. What got NASA or Obama thinking about being able to do this. What else but HOLLYWOOD. Movies of Earth being destroyed by Asteroids. I guess we would be better off if the next Pres. was the head of one of the Big Movie Studios.
